We need your help making cards for our Remembering with Lovenotes program!
Remembering with Lovenotes is a program of Rowan Tree Foundation, started in January 2011. We’ve already sent hundreds of cards to families around the globe during their child’s anniversary month. These cards are a small but precious keepsake and come with the message that parents are not alone remembering their child.
The response we have had from parents who have received cards this year has been so warm and wonderful, we are looking forward to continuing the program in the years to come.
The details to volunteer have been listed below, but if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to sharing your creations with bereaved parents in this important and meaningful way.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Start out with blank note cards that fold in half
any color will do
we like to use the 4″x4.5″ or 4″x5″ folded blank note cards that you can buy from craft stores, but any size that can be mailed with regular postage will be perfect!
- Paint, stamp, embellish, or decorate your cards any way you would like.
keep in mind that the finished card needs to fit in its envelope and be mailed (so extra bulky designs might not work well.)
no religious symbols or text, please (we send cards to people of all beliefs and require any card to be suitable for all)
no copyrighted items, or use of another artist’s work.
no advertising, URL, names, personal dedications or other information written on the cards.
- IMPORTANT: Make sure the word “love” appears on the front of your cards.
- Leave the interior and back of the cards blank.
- Send your cards (with their envelopes) to us at:
Rowan Tree Foundation
PO Box 393
Parker, CO 80134
- Please make sure to enclose a note with your contact information so we can say thank you!
Thank you for any help you can give to this program that touches so many people. Like all of our programs, Remembering with Lovenotes is something that we do free of charge. If you are unable to make cards for us, please consider making a donation. Thank you!!
